  • [Ask] GSkill Trim manual tool

    Hi GSkill,

As I use AMD raid controller, there is no AMD's driver support TRIM automatically with Windows 7. So I need a TRIM tool to run manually. Is there any tool like that? I don't want to use Parted Magic because it will clear all the ssd and the data on it. Backup and restore data are gonna be hard because of fall alignment.

    Thank you in advanced.

    Hi convencon,

Raid mode would not support trim, so we don't have any tool can operate it.
also for Intel raid mode, SSD in raid array would lose trim.

      Thank you for your answer

Btw, I only use SSD as a single drive (on Raid controller). But I have to maintain the Sata Type as Raid mode, because I have a raid 0 HDD setup.

So I think it's possible to use Trim right? I just want to use it manually

        OK, I see

Actually this mode should be support TRIM, but no one can guarantee.

Yeah, so I want to know if there is a tool to do the cleaning manually? I intend to back up the data, clean the SSD and then restore it

You can use Parted Magic to wipe the drive. There is a thread about it in the stickys.

            Thank you

              Thank you for your answer.

Actually it would be inconvenience if we have to wipe out all the drivers.

I found this wiper tool for Falcon series: http://gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=733

So I wonder is there any tool for Phoenix Pro series to do the trim command manually IN WINDOWS?
