Firmware update on a raid?

I have 3 120gb phoenix pro's on a raid 0 config for my pc. I understand need to change to achi for the firmware update. How do I accomplish this? By leaving raid settings I won't have an OS to boot into.

anyone? im sure im not the only person running their SSDs on a raid

You will either need to use the boot cd method which formats your drives, plug the SSDs into a different computer that runs AHCI (this method preserves your data), or have a separate hard drive which can boot to Windows when your board switches over to AHCI mode.
