DO u need to format the new ssd to use it?

I guess this might sound silly. See i have securely erased my ssd. I then load into another windows OS. On the other windows Os it doesn't even recognise the ssd. I thus need to reformat it before it can be recognised and i can run benchmarks on it.


Hence i'm curious do i need to reformat the ssd on windows?

Yes, the SSD must be formatted/partitioned in order for Windows to recognize it. It comes as a blank drive, so Windows can not use it until it is configured.
