  • Remarkablely Improved Performance

    Hi,

I ran an HD Tune test on my Phoenix Pro FM-25S2S-60GBP2 x 2 RAID0 array tonight, and I am very pleased to announce that the performance has improved over the first test.

I contribute this change to two possible likely candidates:

    1) I turned off C1 in BIOS.

    2) The SandForce garbage collection routine has made some changes to the data stored on the drives.

Here's an HD Tune snap-shot taken around three weeks ago:

    CPU usage

I noticed that the CPU usage went up in latter test. The first test shows the CPU usage in a negative state, perhaps an indication of C1's CPU throttling.

Yes, that is correct. Disabling power features can improve performance. Your results are night and day. Glad to see it is working so well now!

      Enjoy!

        ATTO Benchmark

I ran the ATTO benchmark tool as well. The RAID0 speeds are very impressive.
