  • [Phoenix Pro SSD 40G]My benchmark result, is it up to standard?

    Hi there.

I just bought my the SSD last week and a tried to benchmark it. by using HDtuen, the benchmarking curve is not steady with roller coaster result. I also benchmark it by zero erase and update the firmware. I doubt my ssd have some problems. Result are as follow

    I am using Win7 64bit with 4G DDR3 10033Mhz of Ram. AMD X250

    Thank you

    Hi reorado,

this result is not with zero DATA, you should erase it again, if you test with zero, it should be a straight line.

Thank You for you reply. If I have erase all the data, do you think I can get a result up to 250MB/s like others?

      Thank You.

on our website, we show 40GB is 235MB/s.
it should be over 210MB/s if you use erase tool( parted magic)

          Thanks Gskill,

I secured erase the drive but still can't get a uniform result. I used parted magic to erase it. Not sure if I have done it correctly, it takes me 1s to erase it but why it told me to wait for 30-180mins cos I didn't. please advise.

Yet I get a more steady result by format it after the secure erase. However, I still can't get the proclaimed speed. Please help! I clone the SSD drive data into another IDE hard disk and run window 7. I find no difference in the speed. I am so upset it

The mother board model is MSI 870-G45.

                Chipset: AMD? 770+SB71

You will not be able to reach the full specification due to the AMD chipset. Also, you must use the ATTO Disk Benchmark Test to compare with our data. That is the program we used, and it will test transfer rate more accurately than HDTune.

Your latest results are very normal/average.

                  Thank you

                    Hi reorado

I am tested the few differences motherboard (same SB710) and get the same performance results.
SSD in AMD SB710 does not get the best efficiency.
