  • G.SKILL Phoenix Pro Series FM-25S2S-120GBP2 120GB

    System Specs:
    Laptop Sager NP8662
    Q9000 2.0 GHz
    GTX 260m
    4 GB DDR3
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    AHCI enabled

I just got my Phoenix Pro 120gb with firmware 3.1 already on it. When I benchmarked the clean drive with CrystalDiskMark 3.0, I had about 220 read/140.4 write. After I installed Windows 7 Home Premium and performed the tweaks suggested in the forums, benchmarking results stayed the same. However, after about 3 hours of usage, my write speed has significantly dropped to the mid 70's. What else can I do to improve my scores? Which benchmarking program shows the true read/write speeds?

    Here are my current benchmarks.

ATTO Disk Benchmark Test is the true test.

If write has dropped very low, image your files, then run secure erase from Parted Magic, and this will refresh the SSD back to new. Then re-image your files back on and the performance should be back.

    Thank you
