  • Unable to detect phoenix 100GB SSD

Here is what I've tried so far:

    - flashed firmware to 3.1
    - tried loading intel ahci drivers at startup (win 7 installer) (f6)
    - updated bios for notebook

ahci controller == intel series 5 6port ahci SATA controller

My netbook will detect the ssd (only tested in bios), but not my alienware 11x r2

c'mon guys, give some new ideas here.

same thing happened to me. updated to 3.1 and the ssd was unrecognizable.

what worked for me was to disconnect and reconnect the sata cable.

OMG, after reboot the alien's eyes blinked (ssd light on alienware). Installing win7

I guess the computer gods were with me; hopefully it won't automagically disappear.

            Apparently chipset is the problem.

            please upgrade your alienware BIOS.

sorry I don't have this laptop
