  • Phoenix Pro not Detecting... 'Unknown Device'

    =/

After all that debating I am unable to detect my Phoenix Pro. It was working and I went to update the firmware here:

    http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=5684

During the update (well, as I clicked on the update button) it froze.

I am now unable to see it in windows or the BIOS. I do see it as "Unknown Device" in device manager though.

What can I do to get this drive back?

There are a few things you might try.
    1. Make sure the SATA controller is set to IDE or AHCI with Native Disabled. Or Set to Legacy.
    2. Move the Phoenix to another controller with the controller set to AHCI or legacy if you have that option.
    3. Make sure you are never overclocked during a firmware update of any kind, BIOS included.

Can you tell us what motherboard you are using please?

    Uwanna?
