  • Performance variance

    Hello,

I have the 120GBP1 drive, and my write performance does not seem to be up to par with what is shown on the product page. Here is a screenshot of my Crystal Disk Mark performance:

And here is what is shown on the product page:

As you can see, there are some strange anomalies. My write speeds are significantly slower, except for the 4K QD32 bench. My read speeds are much slower all-around.

I have just updated to the 2.1 firmware, and the results are about the same:

I have only run CDM 3 times, and this is following a fresh Windows 7 installation with my SATA controller configured as AHCI in the BIOS. I have not run any other benchmarks. I have the drive about half full at this point.

    Dear glob,
Could you try to secure erase by this guide
It may helps, and could you provide the hardware information of your computer, especially the motherboard?

It's an Intel motherboard, model DP43BF.

Deleting everything on this drive would be quite a task...let me ask you this: can I grab an image of the drive and restore it after the wipe, or does that invalidate the effort of erasing it in the first place?

Yes, you can create an image of your drive and restore after wipe.
        It should work.
