  • RAID 0 and partition configuration

I am about to set up 2 x 64GB Falcon II in a RAID 0 array. The array will hold the OS and programmes. I have 3 alternatives to place the data (need the data on a D drive). I can a) partition the array to include the D drive, b) install a 3rd SSD (Falcon 128GB) to hold the data, or to use a platter drive (7200rpm) to hold the data.

What do you recommend to get the best stability and performance?

I would avoid partitioning and either use another SSD or platter drive. Although, another SSD would be somewhat inefficient as you will not notice the speed if simply swapping files. A cheaper platter drive would be sufficient and more cost effective. SSD's are getting cheap though... but with platter drives you'll get more GB's.

    Thank you
