  • Slow down the result of a defect or a setting?

I have been running a G.SKILL FALCON 256GB on my laptop for six months and it has slowed dramatically. I am running Windows 7 64 bit and have about 60GB of free space.
Do you think I have an incorrect setting somewhere, or is this just a defective drive?

    Current benchmark:

It looks much slower then its initial status.
maybe you can try to back up your data first, then update your falcon to firmware 1916.
After firmware updating, it should recover its performance.
Running your SSD in AHCI mode may enhance its performance.
i recommand you install intel rapid storage technology driver for your SATA device, if your mother board is with intel chipset.
