  • How do you upgrade to new Falcon II firmware

How do you upgrade a Falcon II 128GB SSD under Win 7 if putting on jumper renders the SSD completely unbootable? I currently am running this on a ASUS M4A89GTD Pro/USB3 and attempting to boot the disc and it just fails and says to change to a bootable disc.

    I am stumped!

How do you have it set up? The SSD must be set to Drive 0, and the firmware must be on another drive to flash onto the SSD. The SSD should not be bootable if you are attempting to upgrade the firmware. Once you have configured it properly, you should be able to flash without a problem.

    Thank you

Does that mean I can boot from a flash drive into DOS and run the upgrade software under DOS?

I answered my own question. The executable has to be working in a WIN32 OS. In my opinion, upgrading this firmware is unnecessarily complicated and convoluted! I'll think I will hold off. The payoff doesn't seem like its worth the effort right now.

        Thanks for the help.
