  • F5-8000J4048G24GX2-TR5NS How to find out die type?

Hello, how can I find the Hynix die type? Serial numbers aren't ending with a letter as you can see.

    Thanks.

You are looking in the wrong place. The warranty label on the modules has a lot code, that contains the IC information.

It is pretty obvious though, that a kit like that is built from 5H24M (at least currently). So the lot code most likely ends on -R82*M.

So in this case Thaiphoon Burner did not try to guess the die revision and correctly displays a question mark in it's place. You could confirm it with RAMMon or HWiNFO, both of which should show, that the value is not actually programmed in the SPD (0.0 or N/A). The DRAM type currently used on kits like this is fairly well known though. The lot code on the warranty label should confirm it.
