  • 5600 MT/s DDR5 SO-DIMM with EXPO?

Are there 5600 SO-DIMM kits with EXPO profiles? Something like F5-5600S4040A32GX2-RS mentions only XMP in the features.

    https://www.gskill.com/specification...-Specification

    Thanks!

To my knowledge there are no EXPO featured SO-DIMM available yet. However, are there any systems that utilize SO-DIMM and support only the AMD standard (EXPO) but not Intel Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP)?

I'm not sure. I was considering one of the Asrock Industrial 4x4 mini PCs with Ryzen APU, but I'd rather the memory have EXPO profile to be sure.

This is the one I'm considering: https://www.asrockind.com/en-gb/4X4%20BOX-7840U

I am not 100% sure about the 4X4 BOX, but most industrial systems don't support overcklocking profiles (neither XMP nor EXPO). The BIOS screenshots in the manual don't even contain a menu to configure memory options, so there probably is no need to worry about it.

        P.s. Happy new year!

          Happy new year!

Asrock Industrial is just their company name The box is pretty much a non server mini PC. They advertise 5600 MT/s RAM support very explicitly, so I'd assume that's already EXPO / XMP implied?

DDR5-5600 is well within standard JEDEC profile range and at least the CL46 SKUs like the F5-5600S4645A16GX2-RS should be 100% compatible. Despite the product page mentioning XMP, I am unsure if they even require an XMP at all, due to their standard compliant specifications.

From the product page it also looks like that for the CL40 models (F5-5600S4040A16GX2-RS etc), but maybe let tech support confirm that before placing an order.

CL46 version is likely what the box supports, there is no mention of AMD EXPO support and there are no AMD EXPO SO-DIMMS at this time anyway.

OK, thanks. I can contact them to clarify if it can support CL40 using XMP.
