  • Best kits for ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z690 HERO

    Hello,

A little help if possible, I don't know what to choose for the new PC: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z690 HERO & Intel i7-12700K.

What would be the difference between these two kits in terms of performance? are both stable on the motherboard?
The most important thing is only the CL, 32 vs 36? The rest does not matter? I mean (36-36-76 vs 39-39-102)?

    F5-6000U3636E16GX2-TZ5RK (DDR5-6000MHz CL36-36-36-76 1.30V)

    F5-6400J3239G16GX2-TZ5RK (DDR5-6400MHz CL32-39-39-102 1.40V)

is it worth going on 6400 Mhz, is it a big difference compared to 6000 mhz? I mean, I get a much better response time with cl 32 but i lose something else in terms of latency response ? I don't know exactly how Timing works...

    Thank you

Motherboard is good, however the question is if CPU can support DDR5-6000+

Not all can so you would need to test and see what it can do. DDR5-6400 is for those that want the best, but DDR5-6000 is fast as is. Faster DRAM Frequency is generally better, but again the question is whether the processor can reach it. It is a better chip so say max DRAM Frequency is DDR5-6000, you can lower timings even more to optimize performance.

According to this news, the new DDR5-6400 CL32-39-39-102 it was used Intel i7-12700K processor and ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Hero motherboard

I don't see why it wouldn't support the processor, once the official announcement is made, so I think it's stable in games or video editing.

We tested hundreds of CPUs to find ones capable of DDR5-6000+

        Intel only guarantees DDR5-4800

          personally i wouldnt do it
i have both a 12900k and a 12900ks and neither will run just two sticks of 6000 at anything more than 5600 stable
its been a huge dissapointment for me.
A total waste of money paying extra for memory that doesnt do what it says on the tin
