  • RGB Led Trident Z neo doesnt work

Hi everyone, I would like to explain my problem to you. I have the trident z neo ddr4 and this problem happens to me, only one bank of ram as soon as I turn on the computer remains off while the other three turn on (I tried to change the ram slot and the problem is the bank, not the motherboard). Once I am inside Windows and the program that manages all the RGB opens, this desk starts to work perfectly, turning on and in turn changing color and so on. I can't figure out why it doesn't turn on during boot. If you have any solution, I thank you, it doesn't cause me any problems as it starts to work correctly afterwards but it bothers me that it doesn't turn on together with all the LEDs.

Do you have the latest BIOS / UEFI? What RGB lighting software and versions do you have installed?

Did you ever use RGB software like OpenRGB (or something similar)?

You could have accidentally modified the default RGB mode of that module. Never had to do that myself, but it should be reversible the same way.

yes I have the latest version of the bios and I use rgbfusion as the software to control the rgb but even if I tried to use the gskill software it wouldn't change anything. I tried using openrgb some time ago but this problem was already present anyway. I turn on the computer and the LED of a RAM bank doesn't light up and as soon as I get to windows, rgbfusion opens, it starts working again

The current G.SKILL software only supports software controlled (= non-permanent) lighting adjustments. So it also can not revert the change. That would require an app, that does allow to change the default profile in hardware. OpenRGB is one of the typical culprits for that, which is why I mentioned it.

I had issues with the mother board not recognizing the ram so I went into the bios Set XMP to AUTO then selected the ram size I installed and it started working. This was on an ASRock B550 Taichi with AMI bios. I wish the programming of the colors selected would stay the same but after entering Bios again it reverted back to Rainbow farts. go back into Windows and start up the software and the ram goes to the correct color. good luck
