  • Disabling Triden Z Royal lights in Linux?

I was reading the lights can't be disabled at boot time, and they need to be disabled in the OS. I'd like to disable them to reduce power draw, and maybe gain slight gains on benchmarks. Is there any means of disabling the lights in Linux or Windows that lasts between boots? Is VM the easiest way to turn the lights off?

LEDs are controlled by the motherboard so it would be a motherboard feature outside of Windows. Otherwise, universal control is available during an active Windows environment. If lighting control is saved as disabled, then lighting will be disabled upon next Windows boot up. However, while Windows is inactive, lighting should be in default rainbow mode.
