  • The different between these *3* G.Skill memory kits.....

I'm looking to upgrade the memory @ my all AMD build from 32GB (4x8GB) to 64GB (2x32GB), leaving 2 slots open for any future expansion. My board tops out @ 128GB max.

Besides the color/looks, what are the main and biggest differences between the following 3 kits?:

    G.SKILL Trident Z RGB Series (Intel XMP) DDR4 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) 3600MT/s CL18-22-22-42 1.35V Desktop Computer Memory UDIMM (F4-3600C18D-64GTZR)

    G.Skill Trident Z Neo Series (Intel XMP) DDR4 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) 3600MT/s CL18-22-22-42 1.35V Desktop Computer Memory UDIMM (F4-3600C18D-64GTZN)

    G.SKILL Trident Z Royal Series (Intel XMP) DDR4 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) 3600MT/s CL18-22-22-42 1.35V Desktop Computer Memory UDIMM - Silver (F4-3600C18D-64GTRS)

    Thanks.

Only one kit of memory should be used in each system, so any future expansion is best by replacing with a single 128GB, four DIMM kit.

Between the three kits, it is only colorway difference, the memory itself is essentially the same.

      I appreciate the prompt reply.

So if I want to max out the memory capacity of my board, it's best to upgrade to 128GB @ once now vs. 64GB and then another 64GB in the future.

On the issue of differences between the 3 kits, so it's just the cosmetics/looks that's different, nothing else major. Is there 1 out of the 3 that's, maybe, recommended for an AMD X570 board/build?

      Thank you.

Correct, if you may need 128GB, it is best to get the full kit now.

All should have similar or same QVL / compatibility, check the list for fully validated AMD X570 motherboards:

          Thank you, very helpful.

1 last follow up question: If I decide to go with 64GB total, is it better to use all 4 slots on my board [4x16GB] or 2 slots [2x32GB], leaving 2 slots open?

          Cheers.

Less modules is recommended, so 2 x 32GB is generally better than full slots
