  • What is Uncore Frequency?

    Hello!

I was checking to in CPU-Z and noticed in the Memory tab that there is a line 'Uncore Frequency' which is showing 4000-4100MHz.
My modules are "G.Skill DDR4-3200 16GB (8GBx2) Dual Channel Trident Z F4-3200C16D-16GTZB" if that has any bearing on it.

Is this number right? What does it do/relate to?Click image for larger version

Thanks in advance for any insight!

The uncore in question in general is part of the CPU and depending on the platform CPU NB / Cache / SOC or something similar. So it has nothing to do with the memory itself and usually can be configured independently.
