  • F4-3600C16Q-32GVKC random reboots with Asus B550

    Hi,

    I have a G.Skill kit 2x16@3600 C16 F4-3600C16Q-32GVKC and an Asus ROG B550 Strix-E Motherboard.

The kit is in the QVL.

My computer has instability issues if I select DOCP profile while it is perfectly stable if I run it at standard speed (2133) using auto option in asus bios.

The problems are random reboots, especially when the pc is at idle, and sometimes no boot.

With my previous Asus X470 Prime Pro I had no problem at all running this memory at DOCP.

My current bios is 0805 and I already tried without any results 1004, 1202 and beta 1212 and 1216

    Any advice?

    Thank you

    Maurizio

What CPU model are you using? Have you tried a lower DRAM Frequency such as 3400 or 3200 to see if that can be more stable? May need to increase CPU SoC Voltage to boost the CPU internal memory controller to support a higher DRAM Frequency

      Hi, I am using a 3700x cpu.

I did some tests, ar 3600 is unstable even with1.37 volt.

At 3400 is even more unstable rebooting even inside the bios.

At 3200 it seems stable but I am testing it.

Funny things is that at 3600 the PC only crashes when idle. If I perform heavy workloads it's rock solid..

      Thank you for asking
