  • Stability issues with Trident Z Neo 3600 on an Asus Crosshair Hero VIII

    Hello all,

Just received a new set of Trident Z Neo 3600Mhz X 64 gb and installed it in a Asus Crosshair Hero VIII board with a 3950X. while running Memtest86 to check stability, it passed tests 1-5 with no problems but as soon as test 6 started it spit out 1,000's of errors. The ram finished 10 passes @ 2133Mhz (35 hours) but can not clear 1 pass at 3600Mhz. Not sure What relevant info is needed but I'll start with this.

Motherboard: Asus Crosshair Hero VIII with Wi-Fi
    CPU: 3950X
    Memory: Trident Z Neo 3600 ( F4-3600C16Q-GTZN )
    Bios Version: 1302 ( Last stable 1 I tried )
    Dram Voltage: 1.35 ( shows 1.336 in Bios )
SOC Voltage: Auto ( shows as 1.072 in Bios )

Is there something that I am missing or do I need to return this kit. It is listed on both G.skill's and Asus's QVL

Try if a slight increase in Vdimm or reducing the memory ratio by one step to DDR4-3533 gets rid of the errors.

If does not help, test the modules individually with Memtest86, to figure out if one of them is defective.
