  • F4-4133C19D-16GTZR on X570 Aorus XTREME

Hey there and thanks for stopping!

I bought this kit for my 3800X build with the X570 Aorus Xtreme rev 1.0 board. I'm now on bios F21. It's listed on the QVL list and I've had this kit for about 7-8 months. I haven't stress tested the XMP profile but I've been working on lower speeds and timings, lately, and I'm using the Ryzen DRAM calculator 1.7.3. I've only been testing with the FAST profile + the XMP loaded profile into the calculator. I seem to have hit a brick wall. I will say my skills at overclocking and tuning RAM is very novice. I can't seem to get 3600 stable

There are two methods of using Ryzen DRAM Calculator.

The first uses presets, they are like saves of what works for any manufacture/die at set speed. These are like a collection of what is known to work in other peoples systems but it may result non-stable system however they have been improved in 1.7.3, having A0 Bin, A3 Bin and Bad Bin presets now and safe/fast options. It requires you to select the data correctly for use.

The second method is using the calculator after exporting a file from Thaiphoon Burner, this is generally far more accurate and I have not seen cause non-stable in any of my systems but YMMV as it depends on Thaiphoon Burner reading everything correctly.

    (1) Open Thaiphoon, click on read and select one of the ram modules.
    (2) Now click on the Report button. And scroll all the way to the bottom of the report screen.
    (3) Click 'Show delays in nanoseconds'

    (4) Export, Complete HTML Report, Save

In Ryzen Dram Calculator, find 'DRAM PCB Revision' and select manual then
Click Import XMP button in DRAM Calculator 1.7.3

Navigate to your saved HTML Report, import it.

If you select details correctly, then you select speed rating desired for your RAM (3200-3800 is the typical working range) Ryzen DRAM Calculator should then be able to calculate safe and/or fast presets for your specific RAM.

The settings given will not be the same as the presets given in the first method unless your RAM specifically matches that preset in which case you would not need the second method and have stable ram over clock. Anyway overclock always has risk it won't work but I hope this helps explain how to use the Ryzen DRAM Calculator methods available within it.

Thaiphoon Burner you can get it here http://softnology.biz/files.html

Hope you find this of help.

Hi there, thanks for that explanation on using Ryen Calculator

Yup, I've been trying settings with the XMP Profile, from Thaiphoon Burner, loaded into the calculator. I had to do some searching on the web and came across an old article I saved a while ago written by 1usmus. I was trying the alternative Termination Block and CAD_BUS Block settings. I used Alt. 1, & Alt. 2 and was getting a single error around test 4 with TM5. I changed the RTT to RZQ/4 with ProcODT @ 53.3 and that did the trick.

Is there anything that can be lowered? I'm thinking I might be able to lower the ProcODT to 40
