Yes, with the latest EFI

techsupport@gskill.com has now replied to an earlier query and stated that by using 32gb (2x16) you should limit the speed to 2666 for stability without any issues...

So around we go again.... Far to many different statements from people who know more than me......

Im confused and do not know what to do.

Is it better to use 2x16 or 4x8 to obtain 32gb of memory and should I now bother trying to put the best it can run with or just put in the minimum 2133 / 2400 speed.

Z170 you only need 2 modules for dual channel, so 16GB x 2 is what you want.

As far as frequency, you don't need THE best. ~DDR4-2800-3200 is plenty good and the price is reasonable cheap.

I have purchased a set of F4-3200C14D-32GTZ. Fingers crossed, hopefully it works.

Update: Installed the 32gb (2x16) of the Trident Z 3200 C14 onto the ASUS Z170 Sabertooth Mk 1 (Bios 1402) and enabled XMP and rebooted and it worked fine first go. Updated BIOS to latest version (1902) and all is good.
