  • G. SKILL F3-2400C10Q-16GZH optimized for INTEL Z77 will work at Z87 too?

    Hi,
I have succeed upgrading to a used Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD5H with i7 4770, this is a combo buy and the motherboard comes along with 4x4GB (16GB) generic DDR3 1333.
I am after of a final upgrade to best ram for it, DDR3 2400 CL10

I have two options for now at my list.
    1) F3-2400C11D-16GAB 16GB (2X8GB) DDR3 SPD 1333 XMP unknown
    2) F3-2400C10Q-16GZH 16GB (4X4GB) DDR3 SPD 1600 XMP unknown

I need a bit of help.
I am assuming that F3-2400C10Q-16GZH this is a better choice as CL10, but I am not aware of compatibility with Z87X.
My plan is only to activate XMP 2400 (1200 DDR3 FSB) and leave everything at default.

First question why these two modules has different SPD?
Second, I need to be aware of both modules all available XMP profiles, so to be able to decide.
    Thanks.

I did gained further awareness in the past days and all such product options they are single sided DDR3, and I am looking for extra performance due double-sided DIMM's.

And I gave my vote to Mushkin Enhanced MFG.
