  • F3-2400C10D-16GTX & Bios setting for DZ77GA-70K

Has anybody tried this set with Intel DZ77GA-70K? What kind of partameters I should set to allow this set work on higher than standard 1333Mhz? Assistant in Intel Visual Bios is not helpful for this set

Model of the motherboard: Intel DZ77GA-70K, bios version 0039
    Model of the memory: F3-2400C10D-16GTX
Model of the CPU: Intel 3770K

Everything will need to be manual since the motherboard BIOS is not designed for the memory.

Try DDR3-2133, then work your way up to DDR3-2400 is possible. Tweaking of the CPU memory controller will be necessary for this extreme performance kit. Luckily you have the 3770K, so it should be capable and easier to configure.

The main settings to change are DRAM frequency, timings, and voltage.

    Thank you

Looks like Intel Visual Bios has lots of bugs.

      Manually, I was able to reach 1600 (8-8-8-22 1.5v) and 1866 (9-9-9-24 1.5v), but 2133 & 2400 is still not reachable with my F3-2400C10D-16GTX.

Is that the latest BIOS? Keep in mind that Intel does not support overclocking, so their BIOS is very limited as far as high frequency.

Did you input 10-12-12-31 for DDR3-2133?

Post some pictures of BIOS @ DDR3-1866, let me take a look.

        Thank you

          Yes, did not work.

I have a similar problem. I've found two posts on these forums for the same (or close to it) combination of motherboard and memory configurations. The other is: http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=10919

Anyway I have an intel DZ77GA-70K motherboard with an intel 3770k cpu using F3-2400C10D-16GTX (Dual channel kit 8G x 2 = 16GB). I'm trying to determine the appropriate timings for these modules and I'm having difficulties. I have to latest motherboard bios revision of 039.

            The listed timings for 2400Mhz is 10-12-12-31 @ 1.650v.

The best I've been able to achieve is 2133Mhz with the following timing settings:

            Memory Multiplier - 16
            Memory Voltage - 1.650V
System Agent Voltage Override - 1.050V

            tCL - 11
            tRCD - 13
            tRP - 13
            tRASmin - 33
            tRFC - 313
            tRRD - 7
            tWTR - 10
            tRTP - 10
            tWR - 16
            tRC - 43
            tFAW - 26
            Command Rate - 2T

I'm not the sharpest when it comes to memory timings. Any help would be appreciated.

            Thanks.

              @simple,

those DDR3-1866 settings did not work right? Timings are very tight, they are for DDR3-1333. Input manual timings to see what you can achieve.

              For DDR3-1866:

              Memory Voltage - 1.650V
System Agent Voltage Override - 1.050V

              tCL - 9
              tRCD - 10
              tRP - 9
              tRASmin - 28
              tRFC - 200
              tRRD - 7
              tWTR - 8
              tRTP - 8
              tWR - 16
              tRC - 42
              tFAW - 26
              Command Rate - 2T

              @Gravity,

Boost System Agent Voltage and IO Voltage to see if that improves timings. The motherboard is not designed for this memory, hope you guys can get good results. Should have gone with ASUS to maximize performance. :/

              Thank you

I would surprise you, but this setting works for me. After 20h stress test I decreased SaV to .25V and new stress test for 18 hours. Still stable. And MB selected command rate.... 1T

If you reboot your computer in windows does your power cut off or stays it on?
If power cut off you don't have a good setting, the power need to stay on when rebooting.

Ups... I decreased memory voltage, not SaV. So, my memory voltage is 1.475V and SaV is .925V. Yes, it is stable and system keeps this level during stress test.

Btw, I tried Vengeance 2x4GB (CMZ8GX3M2X2133C9R) and it did not work with this settings.
