[ Ripjaws ] F3-12800CL9S-4GBRL (4Gx1) / F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL (4Gx2)
I have the above ram and by default my MB sets it at 11-11-11-28-2 1.65v
Running it in XMP mode makes the CPU overclock from 3.4 ghz - 3.8 ghz (nice but I think some stability issues just now and again) but sets the ram at the proper timimgs of 9-9-9-24 1.5v
I'ts a new board only a few days old with all new parts. i7 2600k CPU.
Explorer crashes/slight freezes a couple of times a day but deleting explorer.exe brought everything back without a reboot or log off.
Am I missing something. I like to keep the 3.8 so should I adjust some ram settings?
I prefer to use the XMP.
Do I need to adjust the settings?
Strange - XMP sets the ram voltage at 1.5 while the default MB settings give it 1.6
