  • F3-12800CL7Q-8GBECO (4x2GB) + ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 = /me using only 4GB & :(

Couldn't use 8GB RAM for the last 11 months. Only 4GB. To be honest, I didn't have time to 'dive deep' into the problem + i also gave up. Now is the last month of my 12 month PC warranty. Currently in talks with store to replace the ramkit for some other brand. But,.. i thought i might give the problem one last kick, because looking at this forum, G.Skill seems to have quite a nice support forum.

My setup (like so many topics on this forum):
cpu: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T BlackEdition
    ram: G.Skill F3-12800CL7Q-8GBECO (4x2GB kit) (7-8-7-24-2N)
    gfx: ATI Radeon Vapor-X HD5770 OE 1GB GDDR5
    mb: ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 890FX
    ssd: Crucial C300 64GB 25/256/S600
    psu: Silver Power SP-SS650ET 650W
    cooler: SCYTHE Ninja 3 SCNJ-3000
    case: ANTEC Three Hundred
    dual monitor: Dell 2407WFP-HC 1920x1200, Dell 2407WFP 1920x1200
    os: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
    bios: 2001, 03/08/2011 (latest)

Right after the first bios update, around 0402, when i bought my custom rig, stuff went quickly to shits. BSOD, unstable OC, fail Prime95, fail memtest,... Now i cant even boot my OS or enter the BIOS when i have more than two stick in the motherboard.

Tried all the setting suggested on this forum. Only one person had exactly the same setup as me, and his bios settings didn't work.

...its depressing to think i was using wmware with only 4GB for so long. PLZ HELP if u have my setup or know the correct BIOS settings to enable the full potential of this ram.

    p.s.
RAM has been tested by me and the store's service department. its flawless. So is everything else if i don't go over 4GB.

    Is your CPU-NB Frequency 2400MHz?

Did you try raising CPU-NB Voltage +0.1V?

DRAM Voltage may need to be around 1.45V-1.50V to stabilize 4 modules.

Don't worry, we can take care of this. You have some very good hardware.

    Thank you
