RipJawsX and RipJaws compatibly?

Hi guys,

I have a question for you that I cannot find an answer to anywhere else.

I have the old:

G.Skill RipJaws 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit - with the following spec...

Main board intel
System Desktop
System type DDR3
M/b chipset Intel P55
Cas_latency 9-9-9-24-2N
Capacity 4GB (2GBx2)
Speed DDR3-1600 (PC3 12800)
Test_voltage 1.5 Volts
Type 240-pin DIMM

And I am looking to add an additonal 4GB of the same RAM in time for the release of a few games I am looking to buy, but after Googling it all I can find is:

Now the above is the X-Series RAM but the spec is the same for everything except from the M/B chipset, so my question is will the X-series work with my older standard RipJaws RAM?

The reason I ask is because I can find the RAM I have - but its twice the price of the X-Series and I would rather not pay more for the same thing...

It is something you'll need to test. Sometimes memory of the same exact model number may not work together, that's why we must have pre-matched, fully tested 8/16GB kits.
