  • set xmp for overclocking?

    Hi -

    Overclocking a P67 Sabertooth and i7-2600k. Working on 4.500 Ghz at 100.0 with 1.32V.
    I have 2 x 4 Gb of Gskill DDR3-1600 9-9-9-24-2 1.5v (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL) installed.
    Cpu is watercooled.

If I leave the memory to 'auto' the mobo applies 1.657v. It has passed two 3 hours P95 blend runs with this setup. With all the same settings, but xmp enabled it froze at 51 minutes. No BSOD, no fail of P95, just unresponsive mouse and no more data gathering. Overall temps were lower - which I like, but I also want to make sure my new rig is running properly.

So...I don't know what to do.

Any and all input is appreciated. And yes, once everything seems dialed I will run a much longer P95 blend test.

    Thanks!

If only 1.65V is stable, you can leave it at that. Otherwise, send it in for RMA as the XMP Profile should work.

    Thank you
