Hey guys,
I'm about to buy some 2 sticks of F3-10666CL7D-8GBXH for my ASUS M4A87TD (with Phenom II X4 965). It's a dated PC now but the RAM for it is cheap & I wount be able to buy a new one for another year at least. I'm actually quite happy with it, it runs all the new stuff fairly well, including Crysis2.
The only thing is I don't know if this ram is compatible work. The mobo manual only lists the following Gskill 7-7-7 1.5v as being compatible:
F3-10666CL7T-6GBPK 7-7-7-18 (1.5-1.6v)
F3-10666CL7D-4GBPI 7-7-7-21
F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH 7-7-7-21
Also, I currently have 2 Slots of OCZ OCZ3G1600LV4GK 7-7-7-24 1.65v. Will I still be able to use these in Slots 2 & 4 or is it better to buy 4 of the Gskill DIMMS ?
PC is used almost exclusively for gaming with heavy graphics at 1920x1200.
