  • DDR3-1333 stick in a DDR3-1600 Kit

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231358

How is it that my Triple Channel Kit of Memory had a stick of a complete different model?

Do I really need to RMA and be computer-less for week's to come while I wait for this process to go through? Is there anyway I can just send back that single stick?

Would really like an explanation. Thanks.

Model of the motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth X58
Model of the memory: Pictured above.
    Model of the CPU: i7 960 @ 4.2GHz

I wouldn't rely on software and besides if that's Everest, it's dead and hasn't been updated for a long while.
Get the laest version of AIDA64 or CPU-Z to verify.
Better yet, look at the white sticker on each module to verify further.

Did you verify the white sticker on each module?

Lol. Yes, of course. I didn't feel the need to respond in correspondence to that. I looked at all 3 stick's upon installing them. I wouldn't overlook a blaring 1333MHz with timings that are not 9-9-9-24 on a big white sticker. :P It's an on board thing. Not sticker.

It say's 1600MHz. But why isn't the stick registering as such? It's just weird. They are currently running at ~1500 for my overclock. I haven't BSOD'd yet..but I want to know if future problems will arrise and if so, do I have to exchange the entire kit?

Can I get real advice please? I'm not looking for another member's assistance. Can I exchange out a single stick? Can they match the bar code?

The world is full of noobs, just had to make sure, so don't assume we know what you did or didn't do.

I really wouldn't worry about it but I'm sure "real" advice will come your way soon.

No, we can't match the barcode.

Send them all in for a new kit with matching barcodes, or you can send the single module and see if it can match with your existing memory.

              Thank you
