  • Error with F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM

I am looking for some help regarding some memtest errors I am seeing.

Model of the motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V Pro
Model of the memory: F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM (2 kits, 4 modules today for 16GB)
    Model of the CPU: i7-2600k

    What is the problem?

Some random crashes ... ran MemTest86+ 4.2 overnight (about 6 hours) and had some errors

4 errors, all on test 5

    Failing Address Error Bit
    002122dc090-8482.8MB 00000100
    002162dc07-8546.8MB 00000100
    0021a4338350-8612.2MB 00000100
    0021e438330-8676.2MB 00000100

    Other info.

System is slightly overlocked 38 multiplier (3.8 GHz), stock CPU voltage, memory voltage was 1.5v, all settings auto 8-8-8-24 with CR 2T I think. It also ran Prime95 for several hours with no problem .. blend test.

    Questions
    1) What should CR be ?
    2) I am running again (as we speak) with slight bump to memory voltage 1.50625V to see if that helps. Not really sure if this is a good idea or not.
    3) Can you tell from the above message which module is having the issue?

    Any help would be appreciated

    1. CR 2
    2. No problem
    3. No, it is best to test individually.

Enable XMP and test one stick at a time. It is possible a stick is bad, or the two kits are not fully compatible with each other.

    Thank you
