  • ripjaws on p67

hello. I've been running an AMD setup the last 6 months, and had these ripjaw 7-7-7-24 1600mhz 1.65v running on the 890fx...they work nicely, real nicely...unfortunately AMD is letting me down here with the pushing back of the bulldozer, and i'm going to swap out the motherboard and cpu. my question is can i downvolt these things if i loosen the timings to use on a p67? as i understand, i'm jeopardizing any sandy bridge cpu with ram running at over 1.5v. if this question has been asked, a link reply is appreciated. thanks.

1.65V is fine, but yes, you can raise timings or lower frequency to use a lower voltage. This is very common.

    Thank you
