  • Help on old models

    Hello!

    I am a owner of 3 x F3-12800-CL8-2GBPI (total of 6GB) memory module on a ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 with a i920. All is working without problems.

I thinking replace the board and cpu for new material:

    1 ASUS Sabertooth P67
    1 Intel i5 2500K

It's possible using 2 of this memory pieces on this board or i need to purchase a pair of new memory modules to this configuration work flawless ?

    Please help

    Tanks in advance

    Best Regards

    Vitor

The current offerings of Sandy Bridge might not yield the fastest results versus a first-gen core i7 lga1366 platform. However, that memory you have should work fine. It's always best to try it out first then if things don't work properly or to your satisfaction, upgrade to the ripjaws x line of modules. Considering what your plans are, you may want to sell the i7 920-based stuff then just get the ripjaws x afterwards too.
