  • Help needed - F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

    Hi,

I've just built a new system with this ram on a Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 & AMD Phenom II X6 1090T black edition.

I made the tweaks to the bios suggested in the sticky, but when I run SPECCY, it shows the ram running at 800 mhz. Is that per channel or is something not right?

    Thanks

    That is correct. 800MHz (real frequency) x 2 = DDR3-1600 (effective frequency)

DDR is double data rate (effective frequency)
MHz is the bus frequency (real frequency)

    Thank you

That's a relief. Everything seems to be running nice and fast, but I wanted to be sure all settings were correct.

      Thanks,
