Hi,
I purchased this ram originally when I built my PC in January of 2009:
G.SKILL F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1600 CL 9-9-9-24 Triple Channel Memory Kit
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=34719&...acture=G.Skill
It seems to run fine at 1600Mhz when XMP is enabled in BIOS with my Gigabyte DS4 X58 motherboard and i7 920.
I was recently looking into adding another 3 sticks of this ram in my PC but I have heard some conflicting reports on some of the older X58 mobos (I believe mine is one of the oldest i7 x58 boards nowadays) where 1600Mhz will not be supported when you have 6 sticks of triple channel ram.
Could someone please clarify on this manner or if there is a specific setting I will need to run to have them all run at 1600Mhz?
Thanks in advance.
