Hey guys. new to the fourm and Newish to building a pc.. Have built one years ago when the dual core amds were the big hit LOL...
My question is and i may as well ask now before i buy ram is this..
Im looking at some DDR3 2000 ram. F3-16000CL9D-4GBRHD or F3-16000CL9D-4GBTDD
I want to run 8 gigs of it but for the initial build just going with 4gigs..(maybe all 8)
I read that some people have problems getting the ram to run the way it comes without configuring the bios. So if anyone can help me out(being bios retarded in a way) info me of what to get some settings in order to get it to run correctly the first time i turn the pc on. i know i MIGHT have to use the MEMok feature to get it to boot initialy but looking for some incite and assistance maybe i should go with ddr3 1600?
other thoughts are that the mobo box specifies DDR3 2133(O.C.)/1600/1333/1066
BUT the memory compatibility list from asus shows that ddr3 2000 will work
G.SKILL F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD(XMP) DDR3 2000 4096MB(Kit of 2)
G.SKILL F3-16000CL7T-6GBPS(XMP) DDR3 2000 6144MB(Kit of 3)
G.SKILL F3-16000CL9T-6GBPS(XMP)
thoughts please and thank you! call me a Noob if need be LOL
