Asrock 890gx extreme 3

Hi all,

I wanted to step my RAM up and I decided to stick with GSKILL.

I have an Asrock 890GX Extreme 3 paired with Amd Phenom II 955 BE.

I'll be using my rig for gaming (Crysis, COD 6, Dragon Age) as well as photoshop and visual studio. Mostly these programs will be running simultaneously.

Which ram should you think will work out great on my system?
I'm eying on [ Ripjaws ] F3-12800CL9S-4GBRL (4Gx1) / F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL (4Gx2) but I'm not sure if my mobo is fully compatible with it. Or if there are some settings that I need to configure so that it will run smooth and fast.

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

I would like to add if the [ FLS ] F3-14400CL9D-4GBFLS (2Gx2) will also be compatible with my set-up?

F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL or F3-14400CL9D-4GBFLS will work fine. Both will require you to raise CPU-NB Voltage +0.1V to be stable.

You mentioned operating several applications simultaneously, this means you will need a high memory capacity. 4GB would be on the low end, so technically you want 8GB to be lag free. Otherwise you may be limited to the amount of simultaneous processing.
