16GB on Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H

I have the Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H (and Phenom x6 black edition). I would like to install 16GB of RAM on this board then use it as a database server.
Would the "G.Skill Ripjaws - Memory - 8 GB : 2 x 4 GB - DIMM 240-pin - DDR3 - 1600 MHz / PC3-12800 - CL9 - 1.5 V - unbuffered - non-ECC" be appropriate (4 sticks of 4GB) and still have a stable system?

No problem at all if you have a Quad Core BE or Hex Core.
