I just replaced 2 of 4- 2GB DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) F3-16000CL9D-4GBRH
with 2- 4GB DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) F3-12800CL9S-4GBRL
in a Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD7 motherboard.
I placed the faster 2GB in slots 1 and 3 and the 4 gigs in 2 and 4. Is this the correct way
to do this. I have dropped the voltage down to the 4GB's recomended 1.5 volts and everything seems to work. (I know 4 identical would have been best but I could only afford
2-4's.)
Also has anyone any tips on optimizing these? If only to bring all up to the best speed of the slower ones.
Thanks in advance Alex
