    What memory slots do you have the modules installed in?

    Confirm that you have the latest motherboard BIOS - if not download and flash

    You'll need to manually set your four primary memory timings if XMP or DDR3 Profile doesn't correctly detect the spd

    Easy enough to do that;
    Go to Extreme Tweaker menu in the BIOS
    Go to DRAM Timing/Driving Configuration
    Change DRAM Command Rate from [Auto] to [2T]

    and then change the following from [Auto] to the values I note below - leave everything else in there on [Auto]

    TCL = 7
    TRCD = 8
    TRP = 7
    TRAS = 24

    Bump cpu/nb voltage up to 1.25-1.26v

    Save changes and exit
    MSI Big Bang xPower x58
    Intel i7 950
    GSkill DDR3 2000 6x2Gb
    Gigabyte GTX 460 x2 SLi
    OCZ Vertex 2 SSD - OS Drive
    WD Black 640Gb x2 RAID0 - Apps and Programs
    WD Black 1Tb backup and storage
    Corsair TX950W
    Water cooling - Swiftech and DangerDen

          Stability test: use Prime95, Orthos, OCCT, MemTest

          Performance test: use Everest, 3DMark, PCMark...and so on

            QUOTE]

            Blue Slots = GOOD

            Stess and Stability testing per mrcmtl's recommendations.

            Run Memtest 86+ version 4.10 for eight hours. Then run the other blended stress tests mentioned by mrcmtl.

            Regarding the blended stress tests (i.e. Prime95, Orthos, OCCT) you only need to run one or two of those - you don't necessarily need to run all three (and definitely not at the same time )

            I personally use;

            Memtest = 8 hours
            Prime95 = 8 hours
            OCCT = 4 hours

            Then frag with some hard core gaming
