  • F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM with Gigabyte 890GX mobo issues

Like some other people on this site, I'm having issues with getting the RAM to run at specifications. The system won't POST when I set the RAM to 7-8-7-24-2T, but will post when I change the CL to 8. I upped the CPU NB voltage by 0.1v, tried various RAM voltages from 1.5-1.65v, and am unsure what else to do to get the system to POST at advertised speeds.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE Deneb 3.2GHz, C3 Stepping
    MOBO: Gigabyte GA-890UPA-UD3H AM3 AMD 890GX, Rev. 2.0
    BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
    RAM: G.Skill F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM (DDR3 1600MHz 7-8-7-24-2T)
If you need any other information from me, ask away.

Yep, your CPU is not capable of CL7, so you will need to use 8-8-8-24 and also that CPU-NB Voltage bump +0.1V

      Thank you
