  • Intel DP45SG + F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH

    Hi!

What is the correct configuration of timings, voltage... to use with Intel DP45SG + F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH?

    I've 2 kits of these, it is 4x 2GB in a total of 8GB.

The MOBO is set to automatic, and it is setting is to 1066Mhz 8-8-8-20 at 1.5V(default).

I've been using these modules with Asus P7P55D Deluxe at 1333Mhz 7-7-7-21 at 1.5V with no problems.
I need to switch to the Intel DP45SG board I want to know if this is safe.

    Regards

If you mean is it safe to manually configure the BIOS settings on the new Intel board to get your memory running at it's rated speed, timings and voltage - then the answer is yes

p.s. why go from that great Asus board to a so-so Intel board?

I didn't!! I'm just getting new/faster ram modules on the Asus MOBO and I'm setting these on the Intel one.

So I can set it like I had in the Asus? 7-7-7-21 1333? I've tried this and the MOBO beeps 3 times. Had it back to automatic and its on the 1066Mhz 8-8-8-20 at 1.5V.

Can I change the reference clock to 333 instead of 266? Would it make any difference?

I don't know what I'm doing so I have to ask You for these infos.

      Thanks!

Yes, you can change the reference clock to 333 but make sure that you use the appropriate lower cpu multiplier to keep your cpu from overclocking (unless of course you want to overclock your cpu too)
