  • Asus P7P55D Deluxe problem with F3-12800CL7D-4GBRH

    Hi,

I have a problem with my Asus P7P55D Deluxe and Windows 7 64 bit. The BIOS version is the latest (1702).
    I use two kits of the F3-12800CL7D 4GBRH (2Gx2), ie 8GB.
The XMP profile is detected correctly. I can let Memtest run without errors.

In between, I get BSOD with the message Error Management.
If I use only one kit everything works fine. Do I need to adjust the latency when using two kits?

Try to raise your voltage up in .025 increments, the more sticks you have populated the more voltage they use. The base voltage is 1.6V so run them in the increments till you get the stable or hit 1.65v.

      Hi,
i have increase the voltage to 1,6125 and set the latency to 8-8-8-24. It takes a little bit of time to check when BSOD happens, because BSOD occurs not while gaming, test with Prime95 or running under heavy load. It happens without forewarning in 2d mode. Increase the voltage to 1,65V causes errors under Prime95

The gskill support told me that it is not recommened to use 2 of these kits.

Set you BIO's to default If you can pass memtest 98 under spec and that being 1600Mhz and Cas timings of 8-8-8-24 for one hour it might be something else. Also are you undervolting your CPU at all, usually when a hard BSOD hits it can be a voltage related. Go ahead and assess your system power requirements using this site its awesome http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp or might need to bump up your CPU voltage a tad.

If I run Memtest I get no errors. Only when I increased the level voltage (1.65 V) there are errors with Memtest. This means the XMP profile is in itself stable (7-7-7-24). The BSOD also arise only from the time since a second kit was installed. I guess it really depends with Win 7 64 bit and 8GB of this type. Especially gscill says you can not guarantee for two kits and they can cause problems. I have calculated the wattage with the website and it will hearus 570 watts. My power supply provides 500 watts, but this should be sufficient. I can play for hours Metro 2033, with no problems. The BSOD occurs almost exclusively in 2D and this is the problem, then I need stability. Will implement the advice of Schwanke78 times and fixed the CPU-V.
How do I love these problems, it takes forever to fix something.

Try increasing IMC Voltage a tad bit to see if that stabilizes the system.

              Thank you
