  • Tight Underclocking Timings for Ripjaws DDR3 2000 F3-16000CL9T-6GBRH

I am currently attempting to underclock the Ripjaws 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 2000 (F3-16000CL9T-6GBRH) and would like the tightest stable timings at DDR3-1600, and was informed that 6-7-6-18 were the the lowest possible stable timings. I have also seen someone who achieved timings of 6-8-6-16.

My concern is that I am unwilling to increase my QPI/DRAM/VTT past 1.4 volts as I need my processor to last at least 5 years. The memory is currently running stable at 8-8-8-20, Vdimm 1.64, with QPI/DRAM/VTT at 1.25 volts, but I would like to achieve the tightest timings possible. What timings would be suggested that would not require me to overclock my QPI/DRAM/VTT beyond 1.4 volts?

    My current setup:

    i7-920 d0 stepping @3.8GHz (19x200)
    ASUS P6X58D Premium Motherboard
    Vcore 1.2
    QPI/DRAM 1.25
    CPU PLL 1.88
    Vdimm 1.64
    IOH 1.2
    ICH 1.2
    LLC Enabled
    Turbo mode disabled
All energy saving features in the BIOS turned off.
    Everything else stock settings.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can provide.

Try DDR3-1600 7-7-7-21, it depends on your CPU, so just try it out.

    Thank you
