  • F3-10666CL7T-6GBPK and ASUS P6X58D-E stability issues

Hello, I recently purchased parts to build myself a new computer. However once I got everything put together the computer was unstable, it would randomly freeze up on me.
I purchased everything from newegg, and I even RMAed the motherboard thinking it was bad, but I still get random lockups, so I'm turning to the other hardware.

Upon further investigation I realize that this specific memory model isn't listed on the QVL of my motherboard. I had it set up in the bios using XMP but I'm wondering if perhaps those settings are incorrect. I'd list the settings it has but unfortunately I'm not at home currently. I can update this post if needed when I do get home.

If it matters the other hardware I'm running are:
    Intel i7-930 processor
EVGA GeForce GTX 470 graphics card
    KINGWIN 750w power supply
Western Digital caviar black 1TB hard drive

    Windows 7 64 bit

    Thanks in advance!

My RAM setting in my bios for XMP are
    Profile info: 1333MHz - 7-7-7-18-2N-1.50V

    BCLK Frequency: 133
    PCIE Frequency: 100
    DRAM Frequency: DDR3-1333MHz

    CPU Voltage Control: Manual
QUI/DRAM Core Voltage 1.40 (magenta color)
    DRAM Bus Voltage 1.50

everything else is listed as auto. So are these correct for my ASUS P6X58D-E motherboard and I can turn to something else?

QPI Voltage is much too high. Test each module individually to see if one may be defective.

What do you mean by test? Cause I put them in 1 at a time and went to bios and enabled XMP and each one sets it to 1.4.

I'll run a memtest on each one now too

I also had disabled XMP to see if it was causing the system lockups. I still get lockups but it does seem to take longer.

ran memtest on each one individually, all passed with no errors.

Do you have the latest BIOS? Try manually inputting the frequency/timings/voltage, instead of XMP, to see if that makes a difference.

I do have the latest bios according to ASUS's site at least.

What are the exact things I should input?
