Asus p6x58d premium is at 1066 and not 1600

Motherboard- Asus p6x58 Premium
Cpu- Core i7 930
Ram-G Skill f3-12800cl9t-6gbnq


Computer boots up no problem and reads 6GB of ram but its running at 1066 instead of 1600. Not sure why I figured it would automatically read it but it doesn't. Also I have noticed that when I first turn my computer on the DRAM_LED lights up for a brief sec and when windows 7 loads up its off and the DRAM_LED remains off the whole time the computer is. Not sure if it is normal at boot for the DRAM_LED to briefly going on then off.

Yes, the LED light is normal, that is when it is checking the memory.

The memory settings must be configured in BIOS, the motherboard will not automatically detect it unless you enable the XMP profile under AI Overclock Tuner.

I got it to run at 1600. The only thing I did was go into AI TWEAKER and just change the DRAM frequency to 1600 saved the changes and rebooted. Not sure if there is anything else i need to do.
