  • Asus Crosshair IV + Phenom II X6 1090T: Wanted 2 x 4GB sticks

    Hello,

I have an Asus Crosshair IV with Phenom II X6 1090T. I am looking for GSkill memory that will run DDR3-1333 (not asking for world beating speed, just rock solid stability) with 2 x 4GB sticks.

I'm not interested at this time in running 4 x 2GB sticks. I am open to buying faster "labelled" memory and running at a slower 1333 speed, if that's what it takes to get memory chips with enough margin to run as 4GB sticks with my configuration.

I would prefer to not have to run over 1.5V VDDR, as I like to have a quiet case (less power = less heat = less annoying fans).

    Thanks for the help!

As a side note, I've noticed that GSkill, and other DIMM manufacturers for that matter, seldom post their dimm specs, such as module mfg etc. This could be useful for people like myself who bother reading the QVL of motherboards and processors. AMD for one only seems to validate memory modules from the actual memory mfg, vs the traditional end user module manufacturers/designers such as Gskill.

I don't see any "Flare" parts at all that contain 4GB dimms.

Am I out of luck with G.SKill ram on this issue? Am I stuck with only the OEM option?

As you requested, our latest Flare series:

        http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-391-_-Product

        Here are our 2 x 4GB kits:

You may want to go with the RipJaws series as it is not as performance oriented.

        Thank you
