  • F3-12800CL7D and P7P55D BSOD

    Hi
I bought new system, and have lot of bsod when installing windows ( memory management, irq not less or equal, pfn list ....)

    here is the system :

    MB : Asus P7P55D-E Deluxe
    Memory : F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM
    CPU : i7-860
    System : Win 7 64

I remove one stick memory, and finally can install windows

I run memtest86+ and the windows memory utility and have this issues :

-with 2 memory modules installed on dimmA1 and B1 (dual channel) => boot ok
but lot of errors with tests

-with 2 modules in dimm A2 -B2 => no boot

-with one module in dimmA1 OR B1 => everything OK

I run tests with one module and after the other module, both modules are ok when installed alone, and both are ok with xmp enabled or not.

with 2 modules in dual channel, enable xmp or not change nothing

    here my questions :

    1) wich setting can I try ?

2)is it possible it's the "dual channel" of the motherboard don't work?

    3) is my memory bad ? (have to change it)

P7P55D-E deluxe mobo have compatibility with this memory (on Gskill website)

but F3 12800CL7 is not on the QVL memory list on the asus manuel.

thanks for answers and sorry for my english

So in dual channel configuration, with XMP Profile, it threw errors? It should not, have you tried A2 B2?

    Thank you

      It don't work

with xmp profile, and A2-B2 (single channel) => no boot , no bios, nothing, just black screen and the dram led turned on.
I try the "mem ok" switch, no success.

with xmp profile, and A1-B1 (dual channel), I can boot bios and windows, but windows in idle
send memory messages errors and memtest show errors

      what can I do?

        Hi

as p7p55d specifications say, you can't boot with 2 dimm in A2-B2 :

        http://support.asus.com/faq/asus-faq...D-E0EDCD6CDD00

I tried single channel with 2 Dimm's (A1-A2) and (B1-B2), with xmp enabled and not
with memory mapping enabled and not, I have always same errors

I tried also, dual channel (A1-B1) with memory mapping disabled, errors too.

I can't have 4 GB memory in any configurations, only 2 GB works, in any slot and with any
        memory module !

Send the memory in for new replacements and see how the new set works. If you have the same problem, the motherboard may be defective.

          Thank you
