is it possible to run the Memory with the Asus Rampage Extreme III?

What did you expect how much i raise the voltages for

    DRAM Bus Voltage:
    QPI:

    Very important:

Do i really need the the included RAM-Fan-Cooler !??

Is the memory extreme hot - or why did you include the fan?

    Thanks for your help!

Yes, the memory is compatible for the REIII.

DRAM Bus Voltage will always be the same 1.65V

QPI/DRAM Voltage will depend on your CPU. Should be roughly ~1.35V.

The memory cooler is not required, but it will keep the memory even cooler especially if you decide to overclock.

The memory will not be extremely hot, it already has a high performance heat spreader, so it will be cool.

    Thank you

what do you mean "not be extremely hot" - they are "very" hot?

Are 3x4GB Modules (generally) hotter than 3x2GB Modules?

Run they much hotter than my F3-12800CL7T2-12GBPI Kit (@1,5V) ?

The cooler is really more an option?

I think my Case can handle the Memory its a Lian Li Tyr 2000F Case.

      My F3-12800CL7T2-12GBPI run @ QPI/DRAM only @1,2V - do i have a chance that the F3-12800CL7T-12GBTDD run only with 1,2V too?

Or must i raise the QPI Voltage because the Memorycontroller has more to do (but i think 3x4GB are less work for the controller than 6x2GB)

I'am really thinking about to order the Memory, i have to much problems with the high headspreaders with cpu-coolers of my PI Mem.

BTW: the PI is very very good - i only have Problems with CPU coolers like Prolimatech Mega Shadow. And i want to raise my Level3 Benches of my Core i7 980X - its with 6x2GB lower - than only 3x2GB.

They will not overheat is what I mean.

I don't know which is "hotter", but 6 x 2GB is hotter than 3 x 4GB (generally). It also depends on voltage.

The 12GBPI is a low voltage kit for it's specs, that's why it is capable of 12GB, 6 sticks.

The memory does not need more cooling, it is just better if it does. "Cooler the better"

The 12GBTDD kit is 1.65V, so it should not be cooler than your 12GBPI. The 12GBPI is a very special kit.

It is very difficult to raise benches with 12GB, especially 4GB modules (3 x 4GB), even though it is less modules, it still limits your max OC.

        Thank you
